Jeanne and her husband, Dr. Bert V. Guè, Jr., co-founded the Orangeburg-Calhoun Free Medical Clinic, which opened its doors in August 2009. For years, Jeanne worked tirelessly to strengthen and support the Clinic—serving on its Board, speaking throughout the community about the need for accessible medical care, coordinating fundraisers, writing grant requests, preparing newsletters, and personally thanking those who supported the Clinic.

Jeanne had a remarkable ability to tell the story of the Free Clinic and the people it serves. Her compassion, determination, and commitment helped build an organization that continues to provide medical care to hundreds of people in our community.
